Its origin comes from the Japanese word for flame, or passion (Honoo), the Japanese word for hot-blooded or inquisitiveness (Nekketsu) and the suffix “-maru” which inspired honor and was often used by samurai.STORY: Honoo Nekketsumaru is a hot-blooded delinquent and premier member of his school’s cheer squad. He looks up to pro wrestlers and aspires to become a mech pilot in his chuuni fantasies.Until that can happen, he spends his time honing his determination and fighting spirit by playing retro games!Despite his hard-boiled yet cheerful exterior, he fosters a hidden side of himself that he doesn’t let anyone else see. He is a shut-in with an avoidant personality, which he has always hidden away by getting fired up and cheering others on.He needs to learn to be at peace with himself in order to achieve his full potential.
